Situation from Hell #1

Picture this...

Through most of your highschool life, you have been absoulutly set with your plan for the future. You get to senior year and suddenly its Time to apply to college. You think about everything you need to think about in order to pick a college to attend the next fall. Cost, Location, Education, Social Interactions, and of course....Your Major. You know that your major is a big part of choosing the place you want to continue at for another 4 or more years. Then you get it all narrowed down to those very select few...You take the chance...Mail in the application...and wait...and wait..and wait some more, scared off your ass that you wont be accepted to any of them, ignoring your friends who say you're a shoo-in. A couple of months go buy and finally arrives the glorious day when you get that big envilope from your first choice school. It's thick...thats a good sign....When you open and you see you're right. You scream loud enough to cause the neighbors dog to go into cardiac arrest. You're so happy and you start filling out all the forms that were in the packet, well before you can send them in. After about a month, things seem to cool down...your more calm....and you decide to read a book. It's a national Best seller but lets face it. There's also alot of crap on the Best Sellers list. Anyway, you read....you're 20 pages into it and you start seeing that it contains alot of stuff you like in real life so you read more...you get halfway through it in one night because after a while, the metaphorical cocain-injected pages have you addicted and you cant put it down for the life of you. You actually finish it all the next day at an even faster rate! WhooHoo! That book was great! It has all your favorite things in it and accentuates the things you've loved to do so long.

But heres where it gets nasty....

Because of this book from heaven and hell, you start to have doubts...no about whether you like the book or not, but doubts whether or not the plans you've so carefully layed out, are really what you want to do anymore...You realize that you love both things so much and you cant comprehend the fact that somthing else wants to move in so quickly and throw away everything else you had lined up, and all the hard work it took to get it that way.

Think you could deal? Which one would you pick? Will this affect your choice for college? Is there a feild for this? Can you be successful? Will you Enjoy it later? .......

"....Oh Dammit!", You exclaim. You Wish you never read the damn book now....but then again you love it sooooo much and are recomending it to your friends

....So....Did you Imagine it? Was it Hard? It just goes to show that we never realy have plans. We simply set goals that are no doubt going to be altered later, and many times, doubt is caused by the most simple things imaginable. But, knowing this, You still have to make the choice. Do I continue on the safe route, and have a better chance of making it one day? Or take a life altering chance and not know what the hell could happen?

Any suggestions? I could use some for this little problem which im sure youve figured out by now is indeed my problem. But Do you have any suggestions for yourself as well? Because no matter what you have planned, The option will present itself to you, telling you to make a choice between staying on the same road, or going off onto a new road which may very well lead you into hell.

Have fun pondering this and be sure to leave a message!

Every choice is a life altering choice. It may be big or small, but once made it affects you from there on. The effects may not be profound, but sometimes they are. The important thing to remember is that it is nearly impossible to predict what the outcome will be. "The best laid plans..." and all that.

So what do you do? You make the choice based on the best information you have at the time, and then forget about it. Tomorrow, re-evaluate how well your choice worked. If it was a bad one, learn from it and look at the information again. There's nothing that says you cant change your mind, and new options are always presenting themselves. Either way, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should, whether you can see it or not.
